We Welcome All

Rooted in the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Amazing Grace is a community of disciples that welcomes the stranger, shows hospitality to our neighbors, and invites all to join in on the fantastic work that God is doing through and amongst us.

Amazing Grace is a place where tradition meets innovation. We are a congregation that appreciates and honors the past while also making room for imagination and creativity. Our Sunday worship service is liturgical, and our music is primarily accompanied by pipe organ, although we occasionally try different things.

We are a congregation of the New Jersey Synod of the ELCA, the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States. The ELCA’s tagline is “God’s Work, Our Hands” which reflects God’s call to love and serve our neighbors through our actions. The members of our congregation have big hearts, ready to follow God wherever we are called to serve.

We are also a brand-new congregation, recently formed by the merger of our two predecessor congregations: Saint Mark Lutheran Church of Morristown and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Florham Park. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, these two congregations realized that they could do more together than separately, so they began a series of processes that eventually led to their merger in May 2023.
